Southern Praises were nominees for Seven Country Gospel Awards At The CGMA Awards held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. "Favorite Artist of the Year", "Entertainer Of The Year", "Vocal Group Of The Year", "New Artist Of The Year", "Male Vocalist Of The Year", "Songwriter Of The Year". Southern Praises has appeared on the Country Gospel Music scene with a blast this year with their first debut single "Are You Ready?" reaching #13 on The TOP 100 Country Gospel Charts. Their current single "EMPTY PLACES" is at #43 and it is a powerful new song recorded with "Grand Ole Opry Star" Ernie Ashworth.
